GET TO KNOW OUR PROVIDERS

  • Jordan is a native of Southern Oregon, having graduated from North Medford High School before traveling to serve a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Venezuela and Chile for two years, where he became fluent in Spanish.

He holds a Bachelor's degree in Exercise Physiology and Psychology from BYU-Idaho, and a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the osteopathic school of A.T. Still University in Arizona.

After graduate school, Jordan was recruited to teach clinical anatomy at A.T. Still University as an adjunct professor to doctoral candidates of Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Audiology, and Athletic training, which provided a unique experience collaborating with others in health care.

Jordan is happily married to the woman of his dreams and has four amazing and gifted children. “I love my family and our majestic southern Oregon landscape. Local opportunities to kayak, paddle board, cycle, trail run, and explore its vast and diverse beauties are just a few of the reasons we have made Southern Oregon our home! Being active with the ones I love is my definition for Living, and I hope to assist as many as are willing to return to the activities they live for.”

  • Ryan describes himself primarily as a family man. His most fond memories growing up are the many family outings surfing, skiing, hiking, and laughing at dinner time. With two sons and a daughter of his own, Gavin, Abram and Stella he is starting his own family traditions. “The thing I love most about being a dad is seeing my kids progress. We have had to work through a few tough times and seeing hard work lead to valuable lessons learned is priceless.” His family moved to Oregon from Northern California in 2012.

Ryan’s dad was very influential to him and he decided to follow in his  footsteps by becoming a physical therapist. It was dinner conversation to him his entire life. He spent time in his dad’s clinic seeing him work and receiving therapy of his own from running and martial arts injuries. “The profession fits me like a glove. I love people, solving problems, and human movement. My dad always taught me that people don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care.”

Ryan finished his Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2005 from the University of the Pacific. He has always been most interested in spine care and spent his research time in school exploring lower back pain prevention. Research led him to the work of Robin McKenzie also known as the treatment philosophy of Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy (MDT). “This process quickly allows us to come to the correct diagnosis before implementing treatment which leads to the best outcome and therefore the best prevention strategy”. Ryan completed MDT certification in 2007. He went on to complete the highest level of training in this method receiving his Diploma in MDT in 2011. Following this Ryan completed his Fellowship from the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Therapy in 2019 which is the highest clinical education achievement available in the profession of physical therapy. In 2019 he also completed a post graduate masters in orthopedic manual therapy.

“I love to learn and I love to progress. My goal is to help others do the same whether it be my family, staff, or patients that I serve. Progress leads to personal fulfillment and anything standing in the way of that I hope to conquer. For our patients that may be an injury or the worry and fear the injury creates. I hope to treat the physical body with the highest level of expertise possible and couple that with inspiration to do whatever it takes to help others progress towards their personal goals.”

  • Nate is originally from Southern California. He first became interested in physical therapy after a knee injury playing collegiate soccer, finding himself in a PT clinic. After rehabbing the knee, Nate joined the US Coast Guard and honorably served for 4 years. This also allowed him to attend a PTA program at American Career College in Anaheim, CA, graduating first in his class with an Associate Degree in Occupational Science. Nate enjoys working with everyone from the weekend warrior to the elderly and has worked with top athletes from the NFL, UFC, MLB and NBA helping to restore function and return them to sport.

"My goal is to provide an evidenced based approach and treat each patient as an individual, but my primary goals for all patients remain the same: Educate my patient; increase strength and function while reducing physical limitations and pain; cultivate lifestyle behaviors that promote wellness and longevity."

Nate is married to his loving wife Brianne and they share two beautiful daughters, Finley and Morgan. If Nate isn't working, he and his family are likely outside fishing, camping, hunting, snowboarding, or hiking the breathtaking Oregon wilderness.

  • Lisa was born in Merced, California after her parents migrated from Zacatecas, Mexico. After much traveling, at the age of 6, Lisa and her family finally settled in Southern Oregon. Lisa attended Eagle Point high school and later received her certification as a Licensed Massage Therapist.

Massage was always interesting to Lisa, especially after watching her paternal family use it for the purpose of healing for generations, and it quickly became like a hobby. Lisa is very passionate about helping people find relief from physical pain and stresses of life. She enjoys both relaxation and therapeutic massage.

Lisa is married to a very loving, supporting husband and has 7 wonderful children.

  • Jordan obtained his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree at Idaho State University in Pocatello, Idaho. During his time there, training switched from in-person to online/hybrid due to COVID-19 restrictions which provided new opportunities for learning and the occasional interruption of video group meetings/classes by his curious children.

Jordan has been married to the love of his life since 2016 and they have four beautiful children together. Jordan is originally from a small town in southern Idaho and enjoys the greener scenery of Oregon with all its outdoor opportunities. When not at work, Jordan loves being outdoors and spending time with his family. They love taking trips to local parks, playing with their dogs, visiting family, and finding places to swim in the water.

Jordan has been interested in physical therapy from a young age after attending his father’s appointments for low back pain. The interest continued to grow into a love throughout undergraduate/graduate school with a growing fascination with the amazing human body. Jordan loves that this career allows him to interact with individuals of all backgrounds and experiences, and he loves being able to enable individuals to participate more fully in their lives and interests.

  • Carice was born on a small farm in Brazil and grew up in the city of Goiania. Several years after graduating from high school she left Brazil and lived in England for two years, becoming fluent in English. While traveling through Portugal, she met her American husband. They moved to Connecticut, then Florida, and eventually to Indonesia, following her husband’s career in international geology.

Upon returning to the United States and moving back to Florida, Carice began her college career at the State College of Florida in Sarasota. There she got her basic college education, began studying radiology, and made a wise decision to enter the Physical Therapist Assistant program in 2010. She graduated with honors in 2012.

Becoming a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) has been a wonderful and fulfilling career choice. “I love physical therapy because I am fascinated with the human body and how it functions, and I have a passion to help people to reach their full functional potential.” My professional career began in 2012 working in a skilled nursing facility in Sarasota. In 2021 I decided to expand my skills in a different setting and began working in acute care at Sarasota Memorial Hospital.

My husband and I decided to make a major life change in 2023 after both of our adult children left Florida. After much research, Southern Oregon was our number one choice. Small towns, numerous outdoor activities, outstanding theater and the four seasons checked all of our boxes. Also, having family close by in Northern California is a big plus.

  • I started in the healthcare field as a nurse assistant at a hospital in-patient rehab center. I feel very grateful to have worked closely with the nurses, physical therapists, and occupational therapists who have shown me the positive impact of teamwork, especially in the lives of the people we worked with.

Inspired by the experience, I had a sense of which direction I wanted to pursue in my studies. In 2017, I completed the massage therapy program at Rogue Community College. I have then worked at various settings: chiropractic clinic, wellness clinic, and spa. My favorite modality to incorporate into my practice is myofascial release technique. I love what I do because I enjoy learning and sharing the knowledge of healing the body, and because I believe in the value of being of service to others.

During my free time, I do volunteer work at our daughter’s school, go to soccer practices, walk dogs, go to library groups, and listen to podcasts while baking bread and making vegetarian soups.

  • I graduated massage school from Miller-Motte Technical College in Wilmington, NC in 2011. I thrive in an environment where I am given complicated or confusing puzzles requiring a lasting solution. I established my own business shortly after, cultivated a massage room in the guest bedroom of my house, worked with personal trainers gaining referred clients, offered chair massages to a local insurance company that lasted over six years, and provided mobile massage to the surrounding beach houses during tourist season. When my son entered school, I joined Whitekettle Chiropractic and built a steady clientele consisting of law enforcement, military personnel, fire fighters, health practitioners, desk jockeys, retirees, and Veterans. One of the best decisions I made! In 2018 we found out we were expecting our second child after 9 years of waiting, and quickly decided to move to the West Coast to raise them around their cousins. I took three years off raising my daughter and then took the plunge into changing my license to the state of Oregon. I started at Southern Oregon OM in 2021 with a wonderful businesswoman who helped me build and maintain an amazing group of clients! They followed me as I opened my own business in the upstairs unit above.

My children are my life!! My son attends High School now and is a member of the marching band. He recently fulfilled his own dreams this past summer of playing in the Drum Corps International and this mama could not be prouder!! He is a hockey player as well and skates for our local team here in Medford where I serve as a board member, treasurer and volunteer for the organization. Watching him is mesmerizing and I’ll always be his biggest, possibly loudest, fan. By working evenings, I have been able to be with my daughter until she entered kindergarten this fall and attend all weekend sporting events. She has been my toughest challenge from the moment of conception but has been my greatest blessing!! I get to live out my dance, singing, fashion, makeup, and crafting dreams with this one. Now to get both on board with MY hobbies. Anyone up for a hike, then cold plunge in the river??

My massage therapy journey started out of sheer intuition! I always wanted to be a doctor but chose to follow my high school sweetheart into the military. My utmost desire was to become a mother! Once that dream was fulfilled, I knew I needed to make the move into a career where I could raise my babies and live out my passion. I received my very first massage while stationed in Hawaii and knew immediately that it was my avenue into the health/wellness field. Throughout this incredible journey, I have gained knowledge, experience, compassion, and gratitude for the patrons who view massage therapy as a tool in maintaining their highest health. Not to mention I’ve gained lifelong friends. I wouldn’t be who I am today without this career field. I will be certified in personal training, nutritional coaching, and yoga by the end of 2024 and my heart is overflowing!! Expanding into the world of physical therapy has been an aspiration of mine and I genuinely am blessed to become a part of a team full of vision and growth.

  • Timothy Boas

I grew up as the second generation massage therapist, graduating a 750-hour program at age 22. I continued studying with some of my favorite teachers afterwards and continue to learn new methods.

At home in Medford, I mostly go to the YMCA, hang out with my 6 year old daughter and grow food in the garden.

It’s gratifying to see people recover, relax and enjoy life better, with less stress and pain due to the work I practice at Alevia.

  • Kenny is a graduate from East West College of the Healing Arts in Portland, Oregon.  He has a gentle approach and recognizes the internal potential every client has within their bodies.  Kenny always aims to facilitate a positive change in his sessions.

When he is not working, you'll find Kenny either riding his bicycle through town, or working on your bicycle (he worked as a mechanic!).  Kenny also likes to car camp at the coast, and play his violin with friends over a campfire.  Kenny appreciates the time and company of good people, and also recognizes the importance of some space to recharge and self reflect.

When asked what he loves about his career as an LMT, his reply is, "People!"  Kenny appreciates and is humbled by the experiences his clients bring to his sessions, and trusts his clients’ knowledge of their own bodies.  It excites Kenny to go on a journey with his clients.  An avid believer of not owning a client's health care, if something his client asks for is beyond his skill set, then he is not afraid to refer them out.  He recognizes that he is a mere stepping stone on his client’s journey.

  • I received my massage therapy certification from University of Western States in Portland in 2017. I’ve been an LMT in various settings such as spa, chiropractic, and physical therapy. Each of these locations have helped me develop my style of massage. During my chiropractic experience I began a rehab exercise program along with a chiropractor for our patients. I enjoyed this side of massage, and it inspired me to further look into a career involving the body and its mechanics. I quickly was intrigued by the PT world and applied for a PTA program. After many challenges throughout my schooling, I graduated from Lane Community College in 2022 with an Associates in Applied Science - Physical Therapy Assistant.

I am married to my high school sweetheart of 10 years. We recently had our first baby, a beautiful little girl, who is our pride and joy. I enjoy spending time with the people I love and appreciate, and as of recently I have loved the new and exciting chapters of motherhood. Navigating work and motherhood is a whole new level of commitment, and I am loving every minute of it! I enjoy long walks with my small family and two dogs and making the best of memories with them. When I'm not busy caring for my family, working, or spending time with loved ones, I enjoy using my creativity to make things. I enjoy creating something beautiful out of an idea, and seeing the joy that my creations bring others.

I enjoy this career because I can help people feel better physically by using rehab exercise and soft tissue modalities to reduce their pain and increase their overall well being. I love seeing the process of rehab and how many improvements it can positively make. From start to finish, I find joy in every part of the journey, and am so grateful that I get to experience all of it with my patients!
